Many homeowners across Wakulla County have received letters from their homeowners insurance providers alerting them that they need to replace their current roof or have necessary repairs made in order to simply keep their policy! While there still might be some insurance companies in FL that will insure roofs over 15 years old, many no longer will. If you are faced with the unfortunate fact that you must replace your roof prematurely at the insistence of your insurance carrier, you might want to consider the points below when navigating what comes next.

If you are faced with the unfortunate fact that you must replace your roof prematurely at the insistence of your insurance carrier, you might want to consider the points below when navigating what comes next.

1 - Most certified, licensed roofing companies in our area right now are booking projects at least a couple weeks or more in advance. If you contact a roofing company and they come out to you to begin a project right away, you may be sacrificing quality for a quick turnaround. Be Mindful.

--Our project estimators will be out in a jiffy to give you a FREE project estimate for your roofing repairs or replacement and get you into our project queue where our certified and expertly qualified teams will get to your home and give you the best roofing service available.

2 - If your roof is between 8-10 years old, OR if you're not sure how old your roof truly is - our project managers can provide you information on how your roof is holding up when we get out there.

--We provide drone imagery of our roof, walk the entire roof area for any possible issues with our trained eye, and give you a realistic assessment, no tricks, just real numbers. (View examples here.)

3 - Tax Season is a great time to turn your tax return into an investment in your home's value by investing some or all of that money on your roof. We also some of the most competitive financing options in the industry if you decide to go that route.

--We provide financing for the homeowners of Wakulla County, so if you feel like you got caught off guard by your insurance company with this project, rest assured we have many options available to fit your budget needs.

Our warranties are the BEST in the industry - with up to 50 years covered. Perhaps you saw our latest ad in the Wakulla Sun. (Shown below)

Recently, our small veteran-owned business was surprised with a national award that we hold very dear, and we feel like because it was based solely on the reviews of our customers that we owe this award to YOU - our customers and loyal clients who make sure to share WHY your experience with Blackfoot Roofing and our team was exceptional for them.

Read how one post on a local Facebook Group looking for help turned into an opportunity for the community to pour into our local Veterans.

Travis Bozeman, owner of Blackfoot Roofing & Construction, felt a personal inclination to help when a post showed up on the local Wakulla Citizens Facebook Group seeking help for our local VFW post.

The post read.. "Dear Wakulla Citizens & Wakulla Citizens Page our local VFW post 4538 needs your help. Help support your local combat veterans. We are in need of a new roof on our building. It is looking rough!...."

Travis, a Veteran himself and a former Marine, felt a familiar "call to duty" when he saw this post and immediately jumped into action. Throwing his hat into the ring, Travis offered to donate the permit for the new roof, any and all labor, and match any donations raised for the VFW's new roof!!

Blackfoot Roofing partnered with CertainTeed to offset the costs of the New Roof for the Wakulla VFW post. The community and local residents were also there to support the VFW to get the new roof put in place for the veterans. When the project was complete, the final number of donations from Blackfoot Roofing, and our shingle partner CertainTeed, totaled just over $11,000!!

"Projects like this are what we live for. We truly enjoy impacting our Wakulla County community in positive ways and we appreciate the opportunity to continue to give back. Your patronage to our Roofing Business allows us the benefit to give back to the people around us," declared Travis. "And obviously a huge Thank You to our Veterans, past, present, and future. We are honored to be able to give back."
